Aerosoft's Airbus X gets Extended

Aerosoft's Airbus X add-on featuring the A320 and A321 for FSX and P3D was released in September last year and now an updated version has been released with far more complex and realistic navigation tools and a rewritten fly-by-wire implementation - every stage of the flight can now be realistically simulated in FSX and Prepar3D.

Tony Radmilovich - an appeal for help

The name Tony Radmilovich may well be familiar to you from his writing in PC Pilot and Computer Pilot magazines or from his regular participation in a number of FS groups.
 
We were extremely sorry to hear that Tony is currently in very bad shape following major spinal surgery, to the extent that he has had to resort to a financial appeal to help pay for his enormous medical bills. You can read Tony's story in his own words here.
 
A couple of us here at Just Flight knew Tony back in the early days of PC Pilot and he was always a real pleasure to work with - helpful to a fault and most definitely one of the good guys!
 
If you can spare anything to help Tony out, we know he'd be eternally grateful, and you might also want to take part in the sponsored online flying tour of Canada and the USA which starts at 23.59GMT on January 18th. The event has been organised by the PC Pilot crew, who will all be taking part, and is sponsored and supported by a host of companies and luminaries from the FS world - see the Avsim forum for more details.
 
We're sure the event will be a great success, and we can guarantee that all virtual pilots will be made very welcome.
 
Our thoughts are with Tony and his wife Kim - we're hoping it won't be too long before Tony is able to join us all again in the virtual skies.

757 Jetliner Freemium pilots can now take to the skies in the new 2013 American Airlines livery - it's FREE to download and is available from the American Airlines 2013 livery page. 
 
Around a quarter of the American Airlines fleet will be sporting this new design by the end of 2013, so get your fleet up to date!
 
This new livery is for the 757-200 model which is included in 757 Jetliner Freemium, and if you have purchased any of the additional livery/model packs which include the Rolls-Royce-engined -300 variant of the 757 (no winglets), the livery will also be available for that aircraft.

We were very pleased to see that Avsim.com's reviewer enjoyed flying our 146-200/300 Jetliner add-on for FSX.
 
Among the features he comments on are the exterior ("a masterpiece"), 2D panel ("I cannot really fault it"), Virtual Cockpit ("right up there with other top dollar add-ons") and the sound set ("faithfully reproduces the BAe 146 in all its glory").

757 Jetliner Freemium reviewed on Avsim.com

Well over 20,000 FSX pilots have now downloaded our 757 Jetliner Freemium add-on and so it was good to see Avsim's reviewer enjoying his time with this popular FSX airliner.
 
The reviewer calls the 757 "a well executed model with a host of features" and comments that it "exceeds expectations for the performance and features of a free download."

A paint kit is now available to download for the recently released J-15 Naval Flanker developed by Bear Studios for FSX, P3D and FS2004.
 
The 49MB file can be downloaded from our Support section.
 
You're welcome to post a screenshot in the forum once you've flexed your digital paintbrushes - we always enjoy seeing your repaints and we're sure other Flanker flyers will too!

The J-11B Flanker fom Bear Studios which was released back in December 2012 has just been updated to provide quite a few fixes and updates to the gauge system and the external model.
 
You can see the full list of V1.2 fixes on the J-11B Flanker Support page.
 
New buyers will get the updated software, but if you bought the aircraft before today's date then please re-download the software from the Purchase Details section of your Just Flight account.
